TRIPLE “X X X”
The team bowls three games of
regular bowling. After the third game, the “Triple XXX” game is
calculated by taking the best frame (each frame) from each game.
In this example, the bowler had strikes in the first frame of
games 1 and 3, therefore he/she receives a strike in the first
frame of the “Triple XXX” game. A strike in frame 2 of game 2
yields a strike in the “Triple XXX” game. However, the best this
bowler did in frame 3 in any game was “7-spare”. This procedure is
followed through the end of the “Triple XXX” game. Note: In the
final frame, a bowler receives credit for the 11th and
12th frames only if he/she actually posted a score in
those frames. Since the bowler in the above example never actually
bowled a 12th frame, he/she receives no credit for that
frame in the “Triple XXX” game.
